- Yes. If you leave your job, your health plan’s medical coverage may be continued through COBRA. This coverage remains an HDHP. Once COBRA coverage ends, you may apply for portability coverage. Remember, you own your HSA and the dollars are yours to keep--regardless of your health plan coverage.
